This visit was to celebrate the release of the famous Red Guide by Michelin - in collaboration of Visit California - entirely dedicated to the state and highlighting 90 restaurants. The publication was greeted with great enthusiasm by the visiting Californian delegation at the publisher's headquarters and the group was able to meet one of the inspectors of the gourmet bible. But ... we can't possibly say more right now!
Visit California chose to organise a private lounge in the Hotel Marignan, Champs Elysées to invite many journalists to a breakfast where everyone could network freely and in a convivial atmosphere with all the visiting regional Californian representatives.
12 guests accompanied by representatives of Visit California and the different regions of the State had the pleasure of meeting around a late dinner served in the majestic Marie Antoinette salon in the Hotel de Crillon, opposite the Place de la Concorde.
Media and tourism stakeholders were sure to make an appointment at the Speakeasy of Paris to meet the visiting West Hollywood delegation! This event punctuated two intense and productive days of meetings with tour operators and essential media from the French market.
21 influencers met at the l’Atelier des Chefs to discover 6 California destinations. Themed around 8 culinary sessions, 2 wine-related sessions and 2 cocktail-making sessions, the influencers were able to meet and network with the Californian delegation. A quiz was also organized and allowed 3 of them to win the "New Californian Cuisine" cookbook by Cathleen Clarity, an American who has been living in France since 1986... it's a true ode to the nouvelle cuisine of the Golden State!
